“I am biracial (Chinese/White).”
I am biracial (Chinese/White). I am queer. I am also the daughter of an immigrant. The systems we move in, starting with our Family Of Origin (FOO) and Cultural Of Origin (COO), greatly impact our coping skills, how we see ourselves, and our own personal identity. My personal identities drove my desire to specialize in identity related issues: Generational trauma, Racial and Cultural identity, Multiracial and Multicultural Families, Gender and Sexuality, Postpartum Anxiety and Depression, Parenting and Caregiving, Body Image/Body Positivity/Fat Liberation, Life Transitions, Personal Development, and Adjustment Disorders.
